Akkhorik (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Akkhorik mobile application and related services at https://akkhorik.in/. This document explains how we collect, use, retain, and delete user data, and provides publisher and contact information required for a News & Magazines app on Google Play.
1. Who we are
Akkhorik (আক্ষরিক) is an original Bengali online monthly literary magazine. We publish poetry, short stories, humorous writing, novels, essays, book news, and related discussion. We are not a news aggregator. Each piece is attributed to its author or original publisher in the magazine.
2. Data we collect and process
The Akkhorik mobile application does not collect, store, or process personal user data. The App displays a home screen and, when you tap Start, opens https://akkhorik.in/ in your device’s web browser. The App does not include login, analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or location features, and it does not save a user profile on the device.
If you use the Akkhorik website after leaving the App, that website may collect information according to its own practices (for example cookies, account details, or analytics). Website collection is separate from the mobile App.
3. How we use your data
Because the App does not collect personal data, we do not use App-collected data for advertising, profiling, or sharing with third parties. The INTERNET permission is used only so the App can open the magazine website in the browser.
4. Retention — How long we retain your data
The Akkhorik App does not collect or store personal user data, so the App does not retain personal data on our servers or on the device for business, HR, compliance, audit, or security purposes.
If you use https://akkhorik.in/ after opening it from the App, any data collected by the website (if any) is retained only as long as needed for that website’s operations and legal requirements, unless a shorter period is required by applicable law or internal policy. We do not keep App user accounts because the App does not create them.
5. Deletion — How you can request deletion of your data
Because the App does not collect or store personal user data, there is no App-held personal data for us to delete. Uninstalling the App removes it from your device.
If you believe the Akkhorik website holds data about you (for example an account or a submission), you can request deletion by contacting us at mcc.mobile.dev@gmail.com and/or by submitting a request through our Data Deletion Google Form: https://forms.gle/kmmpiQR8JcNWpXn7A
Deletion requests for website data are processed as per company requirements and applicable retention and compliance obligations. After we verify your request, we will delete or anonymize that data except where we are required to keep certain records (for example for legal, audit, or security reasons).
6. Content sources
Articles and literary works in the magazine are our own publications or contributions we have accepted for publication. Author or publisher credit appears with each piece. Third-party material, if used, is labelled with its original source.
7. Content updates
Magazine content is updated on an ongoing basis. The App is not a static archive.
